The Preston Tucker Room
The Preston Tucker Room is named after Preston Tucker who created the ’48 Tucker Torpedo. Original magazine advertisements hang on the walls, endorsing the Tucker’s famous safety features. John Taylor and Preston Tucker shared a love of cars; Mr. Taylor owned a Chrysler dealership in downtown Columbia.
This room contains a king-size feather bed and overlooks historic Broadway. The maple floor, ornate radiator and leaded glass windows are original to the house. The private bath contains a claw-foot steeping bath and a separate shower.
